In the Senior School learning is personalised. Teachers
work with students to set success criteria, and evaluate their learning.
The Senior School participates in a weekly sport program, competing against
students from local schools in football, soccer, netball, Volley Stars,
SofCrosse, Athletics, bat tennis and a range of other sports.
Students in Year 6 participate in extensive transition programs in preparation
for secondary school.
What an AMAZING start to the year! I think the Challenge Program is for pushing
yourself to the limit and a reminder of our school values; Respect, Trust and Doing
Your Best. -Cassie Grade 5
"Challenge program is about building teamwork."-Bereket Grade 5
BEING BRAVE PERFORMANCE
"Wow! I never knew that being brave could be about expressing your
feelings! My favourite part of the show was when one of the characters, Fly, said
that being brave is about good memories. Being brave does not mean you need to be
physically strong or tough but you need to stand up for yourself. If you cry it is
okay because that means you're being BRAVE by expressing your feelings so you can
show who you really are. I think that being brave is about believing in yourself. I
also think that being brave is about the inside more than the outside." -Cassie Grade 5
TINKERING-ELECTRONICS INCURSION
"I liked tinkering the most because it was an interactive challenge."-Vincent Grade 6
"I liked tinkering because I got to experiment with different batteries and how much power each one has."-Armann Grade 4
ICE BREAKER CHALLENGE
"I enjoyed the ice breaker challenge because it involved teamwork. I learnt to encourage
the person to help people become proud of themselves." -Ezra Grade 5
THE ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS AND THE SHRINE OF REMEMBRANCE EXCURSION
"We went to the Shrine of Remembrance and I've never been to a place
that was that big and beautiful before. The Eternal Flame is something
so that we can remember all the soldiers that fought." -Pnine Grade 6
"I enjoyed the Botanic Gardens because it was so much fun planting. I
can't wait until my plant grows!"-Hazara Grade 5
COACH APPROACH INCURSION-Motivation Speaker basketballer Tess Madgen, Cricket, Hip Hop Dancing
"The thing I enjoyed about coach approach was when I got to meet a Melbourne Star."
